The holiday market is over but you can still get your shopping fix at Favourite Gifts at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. The independent designer collective opened in 2006 to showcase a carefully curated selection of locally made clothing, jewellery, accessories, and gifts for all occasions.  Open from 10am-7pm daily, the boutique is manned by the member artists so you could meet Portobello West vendors Dancing Leaf Designs, Street Cat Designs, Hug + Kiss, or Reclaimed Print Co. when you go to shop.

To become a member of the collection the brands must have good quality, consistency in their body of work, a suitable aesthetic and price point for the Favourite Gifts customer, as well as good customer service skills and a desire to promote their own work as well as the work of fellow collective members. This criteria ensures that the shopping experience is amazing. There are a ton of things to look at and at least half you’ll want to take home. You will find clothes and toys for the kids and jewellery and accessories you’ll want in your closet.

So make a day of it. Board the seabus and plan to spend a couple of hours perusing all the goodies and gifts at Favourite Gifts.
