we caught up with her and found out a few extra deets about who and what she’s all about:
what is the number one thing you inject (other than the obvious above!!) in your brand that gives us the true reflection of who you are?
Stoke. Passion. Fun. Magic
lets go back, what was your very first creative something you made?
I thought they were hair clips, metal with feathers and leather. I was 5 and my mom helped me for a craft fair. looking back I probably sold out as they must have worked really well as roach clips 😉
I also had a concession stand (fold up table, popcorn, freezies) at my mom’s softball games. I have been hustling as long as I can remember.
share with us that appetite in a typical day of stepping into your studio for creating what you love
we have been having a lot of different events come our way recently. I love creating custom cocktails to celebrate something or someone. moreover, I love developing new products with my main squeeze, baby daddy and distiller John McLellan, our synergy is fantastic; shiva and shakti creating a la minute.
success comes with failures; give us an example that honed your craft from a mistake
right out of the gate we lost a @#%& ton of money due to a clerical error with the city of vancouver.
yes we tried to sue, yes we tried other angles. it could have slain us. but we got up, dusted ourselves off, got tight and wiley and moved to squamish – couldn’t have been a better mistake gone awesome!
what or who may have stirred the inspiration towards your ultimate dream to create what you do?
I am blessed to have many mentors that have guided me along the way. I have to say though, my lover/business partner is why I get up every morning aiming to hit the ball out of the park. as a co-creator, business partner and new mom to our wiggly wee.
if you were to describe yourself as a car, which one would it be?
a saab. they don’t make em anymore. classic. runs well. beautiful.
